School Counseling

Mrs. Heather Hughes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Tech University and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lincoln Memorial University. She is currently in her 11th year serving as a Professional School Counselor. Mrs. Hughes enjoys using her education and life experiences to support students at Copper Ridge Elementary. She provides a variety of services for all students, fostering growth in the areas of academic, career, social, and emotional development. Mrs. Hughes is dedicated to helping students build confidence, develop positive relationships, and reach their fullest potential.

Mrs. Lori Kitts has a Bachelor of Arts in Music for Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and holds an Endorsement in Professional School Counseling. She has 23 years of experience as a music teacher, and this is her second year as a Professional School Counselor. She enjoys using her education and life experience to serve the school community in this role. Mrs. Kitts will be serving Gibbs Elementary four days per week this year.
